One of our players has suggested a fun break from our regular game with a gladiator style fight. We will randomly assign 2 person teams on the day of and fight to the 'death' with premade characters. 8th level, any class or race within official content. I have ideas, but would like the far more experienced and widely imaginative DnD-mind to help with suggestions. We have had reference to the overpowering nature of suggestion-like spells and charisma saves. Ideas?
Well, if you're worried about Suggestion and other Charm effects, the Oath of Devotion Paladin gets an aura that grants immunity to Charm effects within a 10 foot radius. And paladins are extremely good one-on-one combatants.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
