Hi! First time posting on here so I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or if anyone's even going to see this.
Anyway, I'm homebrewing a paladin subclass for one of my players and finished it up, but when I tested it on a character sheet, the oath spells were shown as choices being made between each list, rather than that list being completely unlocked for the character. Also, rather than the 3rd-level character unlocking the list for only the 3rd-level sacred oath spells, it was asking for a choice between spells up to level 17.
TL;DR instead of unlocking hellish rebuke and inflict wounds at level 3 my homebrew paladin subclass is being asked to choose between those two spells
If this doesn't make sense I'd be happy to explain further and thank you in advance!
Edit 1: I figured out how to resolve the issue of spell choice over gaining the entire list (reply if you need help with that) but I still can't
Put all the spells into the "Additional Specific Spells" section of the subclass, not in the Spells section of the subclass feature that lists the set of spells in the description. They'll get access to the spells when they reach levels where they'd be able to cast them. (It's confusing, I know.)
