It seems as if this was an overlooked conflict within the rules because although it specifies that the Strength requirement of heavy armours is no longer a restriction for an armorer's Arcane Armor, if using the Variant Encumbrance rules then you still effectively need at least a 15 Strength just to be able to wear plate armor at all simply due to the weight of it.
So this is a recommendation for a house rule to accommodate those wishing to build gishy nerd types in Iron Man suits without making them buff babes and negating the entire point of the class gaining so much of its melee benefits from Intelligence instead of Strength. The rule is simple: Arcane Armor weighs effectively 0 for the Artificer who created it. Personally, I think this should be also made a core rule change to the class as written but I seem to be one of only a very few people who prefer using the Variant Encumbrance rules anyway so maybe I'm just weird.
