I am a new gm- like I'm recently getting back into DnD and I was hit with an amazing idea.
For one: it's FF14 x DnD
For those who play or played FF14, you'll know Alphinaud and Alisaie. Finding homebrew content on Alphi, has class is... Well how do I explain this-
Basically it has two sub magic categories, White and Black Magics. White Magics is Support, Black Magics is DPS. Though in addition to this- they practically act like two different classes? WM requires a Wisdom stat, while BM requires a Intelligence stat.
I'm unsure how to add these classes- do I need to do Class (WM) and Class (BM)???
I'm not sure what you're asking but I can say that there's currently only functionality to create subclasses on DDB not full classes.
If you're just asking about the idea in general, I'm not super familiar with FF14 but are you suggesting that the one character would take a class that allowed them to use WIS based magic and INT based magic?
Can you achieve what you want through multiclassing into already existing subclasses?
Is it absolutely necessary to have the abilities utilise 2 different stats? Could you make a subclass of a Wizard say, that has the right feel but only uses INT? From a design perspective, it puts a lot of strain on the system to force a character to split their ASIs across multiple stats, things like spell save DCs will suffer for example.

Hey!
Well, I suppose the HomeBrew creator in question probably didn't create this with those features in mind.
