I am trying to create a subclass feature for a cleric that mimics the Disciple of Life feature from the Life domain. I copied the features and modifier from the disciple of life, but when I go into the character that I am using as a tester, the modifier does not show up correctly.
For a life domain cleric (WIS 20), the healing roll shows up as 3d8+16 (attribute of +5, then 11 for the domain ability). Now my home brew only shows up at 3d8+7 (modifier of +5, plus ability modifier of 2). What am I doing wrong? I thought that I had entered everything correctly, but nothing I do shows the correct information.
Using it as a template, at least I think I am. Have one screen with the information on the life domain pulled up, then another screen with my homebrew up. I am typing the information to match the life domain into my homebrew.
As for characters, I made a 20th tester, just so I could make sure and have all the information appear on the sheet.

How are you making this copy exactly?
Are you using the Life Domain as a Homebrew template, or Copy/Pasting it from one to the other?
What level are your respective characters?
