Infravision and Low Light VIsion in 5e

While it was a bit dubious, having infravision in AD&D was sort of flavorful, so I was considering adding it to 5e. Initial thoughts:

• Dark Vision: possessed by creatures that can see through magical darkness.
  
  • Ignores partial or total concealment due to darkness.
• Infravision: possessed by dwarves, half-orcs, most monsters that have dark vision (other than beasts).
  • Treats partial or total concealment due to darkness as no concealment when the target is warm.
  • Treats total concealment due to darkness as partial concealment when the target is cool or cold.
  • Doubles the illumination radius of any flame, but not cool light sources such as a light spell.
• Low-Light Vision: possessed by nocturnal or diurnal beasts.
  • Double the illumination radius of light sources. A dim light source counts as bright within its base radius.

Neat? Or horrible things that should be abandoned in the past?

I'd say that seems pretty sound, It's a good option if people know what they're doing when it comes to tracking things.
