I made this thread for two reasons. One, I would like to see if anyone has made any homebrew Dark Gifts, and two, I would like some help with (incredibly important) Dark Gifts for a planned campaign.
The Gifts for the campaign are all based around different schools of magic. For Necromancy I will be using a modified Touch of Death that deals the damage to all that is touched with bare skin and that effects objects as if they were being worn by age, causing wood to rot, paint to peel, stone to crack and metal to rust all in an instant. It won’t destroy objects unless they are very small, decay or are otherwise destroyed over time very quickly or have direct contact for a long time.
For Abjuration I have an overly complicated Gift where if an ally within five feet of you is attacked, the attacker must also make an attack against you, even if you are out of their reach. If the attack hits you but misses the original person being attacked, you take all of the damage of the attack. If the attack misses you but hits the original person being attacked, the attack continues as normal with no changes. If the attack hits both you and the original person being attacked, you take half the damage from the attack (rounded up) and the person originally being attacked takes half (rounded down). If neither attack hits, nothing happens. The person originally being attacked is affected as normal by effects caused by the attack, such as poison if it hits either you or the person originally being attacked.
For Divination I am thinking an altered and reflavored Watchers, but I don’t really know. I don’t have any ideas for others.

This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco. No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.
For divination, maybe some cursed oracle thing? They get premonitions of the future that may or may not be correct, the ability to anticipate what an opponent does next, and madness when it all goes wrong?

Ooh, good idea. Sorry I didn’t respond until now, this thread doesn’t really have much activity and I was just randomly checking. I must have missed the notification somehow...
