I recently homebrewed a monster meant to be a good-aligned counterpart to the death knight; they're created when a paladin's spirit feels strongly that its work isn't done and can still give more to the cause. This creature is lawful good, retains its Lay on Hands ability, can use an Armageddon Orb (force and radiant instead of fire and necrotic), etc.
However, I want to share this creature with the DDB community, and I am having a miserable time thinking of a name for this creature. The only names I could think of were "Einherjar" and "Bone Knight," both of which are already officially licensed monsters and are ineligible to share as a result. If anyone has suggestions for names, I would greatly appreciate it.
Is the idea that this creature will carry on forever in this form? Or that it will only do so until it accomplishes some specific "unfinished business"?
If it's the former, leaning into that aspect of it might make a good name. Eternal Paladin. Or Deathless Knight, specifically casting it in contrast to a Death Knight. Or Forever Knight, if you're not worried about getting sued by whoever owns the 90s vampire cop drama series with that name.
If it's the latter, the name could be focused on the fact that the creature has a specific mission to accomplish. Oathbound Knight, perhaps.
I think I'll combine your and wagnarokkr's suggestions and use a name focused on the fact that the creature has a specific mission to accomplish, while dropping the "knight" noun. Maybe Oathbound Revenant.

pronouns: he/she/they
When wqgnarokkr said “unfinished business i instantly thought of Ghost Knight! Other names that came to mine were Holy Knight or Angel Knight.
You could try a name that doesn't have "knight" in it, like Eternal Guardian or something. Something more fun and evocative than Adjective Knight.
