So many characters could be a jack of all trades (many rogues, this one wild magic sorcerer character concept of mine whose magic is literally supernatural amounts of luck etc.), but only bards get it and not a lot of characters would want to take a dip into bard just for jack of all trades, plus the ability to inspire people with magical music might not fit.
So, I decided to make it into a feat! I won't bother to put it here, because the name and effects are the exact same as the feature.
Any feadback?

This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco. No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.
(Just as a pointer, Rogues DO actually get Expertise, and even at a lower level than Bards)
Yes! That seems quite nice, and possibly even slightly underpowered. Maybe a 3 skill Expertise? Comparatively to things like Polearm Master, I think that 3 would be nice to balance it, since it gives no actual combat benefits in most situations.

No, this is jack of all trades, not expertise. You can already get expertise through feats.

Overall in a general sense I'd say no. You can get Jack of All Trades if you take just a 2 level dip into bard. However, I think that what works generally differs to what fits into a specific campaign.
It could fit into a campaign where there is no Bard in the party, and nobody is going to multiclass into Bard. I would recommend it only in that circumstance though, because I think that it's important that classes have unique features. I suppose it is funny to talk about "unique features" alongside "jack of all trades" but if I was playing a Bard I wouldn't be too impressed if someone else could take one of my core class features as a feat.

True. The true core feature of the bards is inspiration and spellcasting, though I suppose Jack of All Trades is one as well because no other class gets it (rogues should totally get it. Expertise is definitely a rogue feature, but bards get it too, and yet rogues don't get jack of all trades?). In my defense, WotC did do it first with feats such as metamagic adept and eldritch adept.

The thing about the Adept feats is that when you take them, they're fundamentally less powerful for you than they are for one of the classes that they come from. The same is true for the Battlemaster manoeuvre one. If you get Jack of All Trades as a feat, it's just as good as for a Bard.
Maybe it would work as:
You can add one to any ability check you make that doesn’t already include your proficiency bonus.
Also have to consider that since it's a feat, how happy are you for a Bard to take it and double up on Jack of All Trades? Maybe it's fine.

I had an interesting idea for a feat.
