That isn't part of the interface for homebrewing a Spell. Are you creating a feat, subclass, or item, and doing the "Add A Spell" in the Spells section?

Don’t check that box. It messes up the homebrews something fierce and has even been known to cause whole character sheets to crash.
Ahhh, I'll try to remember that for the future myself. Not that I go out of my way to tool around with Infinity. I imagine it doesn't break Ritual Caster because the set of ritual spells is much smaller than the set of all spells (of any particular class)?

Sure, but that's tying into the Manage Spells system, which isn't implemented by dropdowns. Anyway, that was just my guess on why the checkbox would tend to break homebrews.

I exclusively use the Infinite box for many of my "Caster" based feats to allow the homebrew use of dozens of spells. I have never had it crash, never had issue, never had any of my players have issues or anything someone else here has claimed. One of my feats, just for the heck of it, has over 50 spells on it, and all of them work with the drop down menus when managing the feat itself. All of the spells show up on the character sheets, and all of them work as designed just about as flawlessly as anything else on dndbeyond lol. Anyway there is my experience as of 2/22/2024, and I've been using the "Infinity" box for the last 3 years.
You must be building your feats to grant a choice of spells in a way that works with that checkbox. If you were to build your feats differently then you might have different results. Besides, this thread is almost 2 years old. They have done several upgrades to the system over the years to make it more stable. But back in ‘18/‘19, improperly built homebrews used to crash character sheets left, right, and center.
When creating a spell there is a box called infinite down there? What does that exactly entail?

I am creating a feat and adding a spell.
The "Infinite" checkbox is there for feats like Ritual Caster, which lets you keep adding spells to your ritual book from a set of class spells.

🤷♂️
The Wizard base class uses that checkbox for its Spellcasting feature too.
