There is no such feature in homebrew tools because there is no way to show or do anything with it on the sheet. It will just be text on the item.
Even the spells Light and Daylight and items like torches, etc, don't actually "do" anything mechanically. It's just text to say "sheds bright/dim to ?? ft".

Hmm... odd that an item cannot be set to do something as simple as have light. But, ok.

This isn't Roll20. There's no dynamic lighting VTT or anything.

I have a shield that should automatically create light when equipped. However, I can't figure out how to make this happen with a homebrew shield.
Any suggestions?
