Seeking more options for ways to add Find Familiar to a character, preferably through items. There are the various options in character creation, but I generally don't play those. Then there are the feats which are nice, its just that they have stronger competition. I have been on a homebrew kick lately and made a few of my own, but more options are never a bad thing.
The easiest way to get Find Familiar on any character would be a Spellwrought Tattoo. It's single-use, but as long as the Familiar is taken care of, it could last the entire campaign.
For a Homebrew Magic Item, I'd want to see something like a "Staff of the Apprentice {A}", which could grant Find Familiar and a wizard cantrip or two. Which I suppose would basically just be the Magic Initiate feat as an item.

True, and it can even be infused technically, but I was thinking a little more specific and interesting. More like items built around the spell or more targeted themes like the Draconic Familiar gift (which I turned into a feat and also used as a template of sorts for my tattoos).
I think I thought of a way to twist the Magic Initiate into an item to give it a little more flavor now, though. Or rather, a series of items most likely.

Custom creature variant (both item and the referenced creature are public)
For a more naturey feel (updated this one because I suck at proofreading)

And done.
Made a set of 4 items. 3 foci (Arcane, Holy, and Druidic) plus a weapon variant. Only two published and linked for example.
I am up to a d6 on my "how to get a familiar through items" table. I wanna shoot for 20.
