Hello yall, so I'm playing a vampire in my new campaign and we just got to level 2 (https://********/races.html#dhampir_vrgr DM wanted me to make the race with these stats to start and we are modifying and adding more as we play the game) and I'm having trouble deciding what school of magic to use and keep switching back and forth between a bunch of them. I talked with the DM and we both agree that doubling down on the whole vampire thing would be cool, so what school of magic would yall recommend?

My Pc is a likable guy who doesn't want to cause harm unless it is completely necessary in the context of the story he is kind to everyone in. modern-day his backstory so far is that he was a rich noble whose father forced him to join up in the war effort because a very big mistake (undetermined atm) that he made at home in town, during the war effort he was ridiculed and picked on because he was rich while most others were poor and working class. The only ally that he has is a Dragonborn Warforged and the 2 develop a brother-like friendship. One day while on a scouting mission a strange portal to the Feywild is opened up in front of them and Logan (my pc) walks towards it, suddenly an unknown creature attacks my and I end up getting turned by the creature. Back at camp when other soldiers start to pick on me and I end up killing them and sentenced to death but Nighthawk (Warforged) saves me and we part ways. The Campaign picks up 60 years later and we are running The Wild Beyond The Witchlight: A Feywild Adventure book with added homebrew elements.

My selections were
Necromancy (no explanation needed)
Evocation, I think theirs good roleplay potential here, if you think in evocation in general terms rather then "Pew-pew thing dead"
Enchantment, Vampires are well known for mind control magic, and it works well for a noble.
Transmutation- Again great roleplay potential, plus you can turn into a bat for real.
Also, this should be in story and lore.
My homebrew content: Monsters, subclasses, Magic items, Feats, spells, races, backgrounds
Thanks its my 1st time posting on the forums so I kinda just went with the 1st one I saw that sounded right.
