I was looking at Telepathic Bond and while I felt 1 hour was too short for what was essentially a non combat utility spell, it was also one made for (or at least worked well for) extended exploration. What would people think about setting up this spell so that it was 1 hour without Concentration but Concentrating could extend it to 4 or even 8 hours? It was the best I could think of to balance it out in my head when thinking of the cost / benefit ratio.
An hour does seem pretty short for what is, as you said, essentially meant to be for dungeon delving in split parties. Or perhaps infiltrating a stronghold. The latter is perhaps a reasonable time, but dungeon delving normally takes a day or more...spending half that time either performing rituals or traipsing back and forth so you can refresh it ...more than an hour is reasonable.
That said, it is a ritual and so is effectively free, doesn't even take a prepared spell place...so 8 hours pushes it. I'd say an hour for having cast it, then a further 3 hours dependent upon the maintenance of concentration.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I would have thought that the spell would be more useful for social situations, especially diplomatic situations - it allows the party to discuss the situation without the other folks present know what is being discussed and they'll have no idea that it is happening.

I'd probably go for 4 hours.
