I am trying to find a way to roll a tool check in DNDB. For example, be able to see the modifiers and roll the dice for usage of an instrument with which the character has expertise with.
example: A Rune Knight Fighter that is an expert with Smiths Tool and has the Fire Rune which allows him to add twice their proficiency modifier for a tool they are expert in. At the moment, the character would roll a Dex check and add the proficiency bonus again. What I would like is to have the smiths tool as something I can click and roll, like a weapon, that would simply roll Dex with Expertise (and show that in the sheet!)
Is there a way of doing this in dnd beyond? I tried creating a homebrew wand and a spell and trying to mix them together but doesn't seem to work :(

Well, the DM is supposed to dynamically choose the Ability score Smith's Tools use, and the default, per Xanathar's, is Intelligence, not Dexterity.
At any rate, if you make your way over to the Homebrew forum, it's expressly for getting help making your own homebrew work, if possible, with DDB's (awful) homebrew handler.

Oh I will move this to the homebrew forum! Thanks.
