Zerns originated in 3.5, where they were presented as highly intelligent but cruel beings who used their mastery of fleshcrafting to alter their own physiology and create bioengineered servants. I found the idea of a race that constantly mutated to adapt to its environment really appealing, and so I created a playable version for 5e! Have fun!
Please feel free to share any comments or critiques you have; I'm still not super experienced with homebrew and I want to make my stuff as high-quality as possible.
