How do I make home brew classes available for character creation on D&D Beyond? I subscribed so I can add to my collection but only the standard classes are there when I create a character.

Been playing D&D since the 80's but stopped for a while. Glad to get back into it!
Not surprised considering I've tried everything. That really stinks. Why provide the option to use homebrew on the creation screen if it serves no purpose?

It serves plenty of purposes. Just not that particular purpose.
no it is possible but the bad things 1 it most likely has useless profs, 2 it can only have d8 or d6 hit die and 3, it has bad spells/spell list
you make it a subclass for every level you use of the cleric monk or sorcerer class then dont choose anything for the starting profs and add everything and pretend you dont have some profs
In the character builder, on the first page, (When you click standard) there should be a list of different types of content. Click the one that says "Homebrew content" and then it should pop up. If not, sorry, but I cant help any more.
Edit: You can make classes on DBB? I thought you could only do sub classes.
I add that but it's still not available. I think what some people have said is that I would have them create the regular class and then when they advance a level maybe the subclass will become available as a choice which is fine. I'm trying to add animal companion to druid and there are some homebrew subclasses that have that. Trying to use D&D beyond to track as much as possible.

To use public homebrew you will need to have a hero or master tier subscription and then also have the homebrew toggle enabled (to the right/showing red) on the character edit home tab.
Edit: and you must be a 2nd level druid to select a circle (subclass)

Sadly, it is impossible.

Why not make the homebrew class outside of DDB, such as on paper. I did that with a custom class (soon t be two)

Then you can give others its details in private messages so they can help you improve the class

Might make it hard for PBP DnD
