My girlfriend and I have been trying to come up with a new story for my dnd group. I'm currently playing 3 campaigns. I've never had the opportunity to dm, so I'd like to have this story finished by the time my other campaigns come to an end. It's truly taken over my life. I'd like to see what you all had to say about my story line so far. Maybe give me some feed back on how I can make things better.
[NAME OF CAMPAIGN]
In a Galaxy far From nowhere we find 3 desolate planets. Hunkering around a dying sun. Years of war and torment have forsaken these planets due to a corrupted galactic empire. There is an ice planet a cybernetic space station the size of a planet and a desolate desert plant. Each planet sends its best warriors to the sand planet that has never been colonized. They fight years of gruesome battles yet one day all disappear out of nowhere. WarShips, tranport freighters, diplomatic stations, and nearly anything related to the military and it's Machinery disappear along with its soldiers, leaving few left behind with no memory of what happened. In order to escape poverty many of the citizens under this corrupt King escape to this war-torn planet in order to find a new sort of civilization away from the empires grasp. Years after hiding in the desert of a forgotten war, strange occurrences begin to happen, people begin to disappear, the bodies and skins of villagers and criminals and bounty hunters alike, are left abandoned with no muscle bone and blood left in sight.
<span;>You and your friends arrive at the water tap in a small ( ) Village outside the city ( ) comprised of makeshift tents and Shacks. This it your home. It's night. As you get closer to the water tap, just out south of the small village. you see pple fighting over what looks like that last bit of water from the last shipment this month. <span;> <span;>---(Crews awkening) crew reacts no mater what the crew does. The situation escalates. <span;> --- Villager quotes. I need this water more than you. Yeah right, You take one more sip and I'll split your throat and drink it again. You hydrated b**** you haven't pissed blood in weeks. <span;> ---Dm note: In the middle of all of the commotion, make a #perception check. The one with the highest has to see the sand entity out of the corner of their eye. Only they see it. As you turn to look directly at it, sand scatters on the ground like someone droped a bag a sand. It seemed to be headed for the water tap. <span;> <span;>As the villager goes to land his final blow, fist meeting face, the lizard man body disintegrates into the ground leaving nothing but his skin left. As he falls to the groundSand spills out of every orifice on his body gushing from his eyes his mouth his ears his butthole.
<span;>(React and investigate)
<span;>A villager shows concerns for needing to tell the vilage of what has happened.
<span;>As the party heads to town while one investigates whatever they saw out of the corner of their eye. They go to investigate the water tap. The mechanisms that make it work seem to be cloged, jammed, and carroded with what seems to be little Chrystalized sand clusters. As you study this closely, your eyes shift to your reflection in the water tank. You notice a few feet behind is that creature you saw before. Only in more vivid detail. But this time it doesn't disappear. It takes shape into an ever changing form. For a split second the entity mimics his face and morphs back into an ever changing unrecognizable yet organic form. You suddenly become frozen with fear as it zips towards you with unnatural speed. You turn to react and you get hit with a small but strong spread of sand. As you evade the shot of sand a crystalized chunk gets embedded into your hand. Understanding the entity scattered as it did before once looking at it directly. <span;>The individual who investigated the initial sand creature returns to their teammates to tell them of their ecounter and initial Findings. <span;>If they don't another creature is seen out of the corner of anothers individual's eyes out in the far desert towards the village. <span;>By the time they've gotten back to the town the muscles and the tips of their fingers are gone and feel as if it is being controlled by another entity.
<span;>As you get closer to the town you notice that every bit of Machinery that uses some form of energy has traces of that crystalized sand completely disabling it. What do you do.
<span;>--- Find a dr for cursed fingers and embedded crystal or a solution to make the spreading stop. <span;>You find dr and he cleans it and pulls the embedded crystal out. To stop the bleeding the dr crudely burns the bleeding infected area with a blow torch. As the fire burns hot, sand and small crystal shards begins to almost flea from your fingertips as if it was alive.
<span;>--- solve how to fix the machines with light, fire or electricity.
<span;>--- hunt for more creatures out in the desert surrounding the village. They get chased by the sand ghosts and don't get attacked unless they use light fire or electricity.
<span;>--- investigate most damaged areas to find power banks completely incase in pure crystal. You understand that it is inert basically glass . You notice that it looks like a clear freeze frame of the creature you saw b4.
<span;>○Long rest
<span;> a startling commotion wakes you. when you arise from your tent, You notice a dust cloud beginning to engulf the capital citi up north off in the distance. Completly blocking out the sun over the capital. You look closer and notice flashes of fire and explosions. Everywhere the fire touches the sand disperses. The dust cloud begins to take shape of one of the shape shifing sand clusters from the day before. You and your party are the only ones able and willing to inform the city of how to defeat these entities. <span;>--- travel to city. As the group gets closer to the city they start to see more of these sand entities. They are bigger and faster. And reflections of themselves make them rage and they sling crystal shards. <span;> <span;> As you get to the entrance gates of The City youd think the general population would be in panic, but it looks like they think it's just a simple sandstorm, you see all the the locals closing shop and boarding up for the incoming storm. Noone seems to really notice all the sand thats loose ontop of the sandstone ground, wizzing and moving beneath their feet. All seeming to be headed in one central location somewhere deep within the city. <span;>---players push through the sandy blizard. It gets stronger as they get closer to the center. Taking 1 damage for every min outside.
<span;> As you get to the center of the city where the solar power grid source is. You see 6, tent sized sand entities, evenly surrounding the solar grid. These bigger entities are cyphoning all the incoming sand, producing smaller fist and head sized entities. In a frenzy of rage in a way, these fresh entities start piling themselves onto the ever slightly growing Chrystalized mass entombing the solar grid to the city.
<span;>---The bigger ones don't dissappear when you look at them. The smaller still dissappear. Fire and light kill them
