This is just a theorycrafting exercise to ask about things I might not have considered. Currently there are 2d6 slashing (greatsword) and bludgeoning (maul) weapons but no piercing. I can't think of anything that would break in allowing a 2d6 piercing weapon with basically the same stats as these other two.

If you are asking if it would be overpowered, then no, I don't see that it would. What did you have in mind for it to look like?
