I am currently working on a Domain of Dread made entirely from stuff in the human body (even plants such as trees are made from stuff like cartilage and tongues). The domain also happens to be alive and (to an extent) sentient. However, I can't think of a suitable Darklord that would fit the theme I'm going for.
Going by RAW, is it possible for a domain to be its own Darklord?
A Lich made a mistake in how he prepared for his end, and now his body lives on but as a place.
A Beholder ends up getting cursed and becomes the domain.
A Mimic has a really bad nightmare.
A fallen Wizard Queen seeks to become one with the land.
Definitely possible. The key is in why they are in the Dread in the first place -- what did they do to deserve being locked away and punished like that?
