Hi, my groups been using the rule that when you are frightened, you can choose fight or flight from the creature that frightened you. Flight is the original frightened rules, fight means you can only target that creature. Now at first this seemed fine, but the longer we've used it, the only option anyone ever picks is fight. Its almost always strategically better to pick fight, and it seems like it kind of ruins the entire frightened condition.
The other rule is the dying condition, if you drop to 0 hit points, you are now in the dying condition. On your turn you can take one action, bonus action, or use your movement, doing any of which gives you disadvantage on your death save for that turn. This is again an issue, as all someone has to do is use their one dying action (no one can stop them because hitting them does nothing) and then no matter what they roll, even if its a nat 1, they can be stabilized instantly.
Im looking for feedback or even second opinions on my views of these rules, they just kind of concern me.
