I've created a feat that gives a bonus to perception equal to proficiency bonus, but when adding it it doesn't get added, and I can't exactly figure out why. I have the modifier type set to bonus, the modifier subtype is set to perception, and additional bonus types is proficiency bonus
Generally, the easiest way of adding a character's proficiency bonus to a skill is by using either the proficiency or expertise modifiers. If that doesn't work for your purposes, I'd say make sure it's the right modifier subtype, and not passive perception or anything. Also, you might have to wait up to half an hour-ish before saved changes are actually reflected in character sheets.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
