I am here looking for a solution to this exact issue. I cannot seem to find a charges function within the subclass options at all. Basically my ranger gets a utility belt with ~5 different items it may contain, however I want to give him only 3 uses of this belt per nap, but increasing that number over time with levels. I just cannot seem to figure out how to add charges for it. Everything else I seem to have worked out. I have the actions appearing on his character sheet and everything, I'd just like for him to be able to track them there, ya'know?
So I know now why it was so hard to locate. To locate the option you want to:
Open your Subclass --> Add a class feature --> Fill out required information --> Add an action --> Label this action as whatever charge you want to keep track of and make sure it's Action Type is General --> Save the changes --> Reload the page --> Located at the very bottom of the page is a new option: Limited Use --> Fill out appropriate information and save
The charge should now appear in the actions tab of your character's sheet. Note that it will appear under whichever section you selected for "Activation Type".
Hope this helps!
P.S. I was able to find this by reverse engineering one of the default subclasses. So if you get in a bind, try to find a similarly functioning ability and dissect it ;)
This is a problem I specifically encountered while using the Avrae discord, but essentially my Goliath is meant to have a ground slam ability with two uses per short rest. However, the avrae bot isn’t subtracting any uses when the ability is used. The limited uses appear in dnd beyond and on avrae bot, but the bot never subtracts them. Does anybody have a solution to this?
I have a subclass where they have charges, similar to a gunslingers grit points. How do I make a counter for that?

I’m still waiting myself to hear back.

This helped me! Thanks
Thank you so much.
