I personally think that the Homebrew section on D&D Beyond needs a major improvement, not only in the way we search, filter, and otherwise find things but also in what is available.
I think that D&D Beyond is super limited and doesn't allow for much change to D&D, I think the authentication system is great and should keep being there so people can't post plagiarised stuff or post stuff from the other books so other people don't have to buy the book. I think there are 3 major improvements there should be made.
1, Amount of homebrew: I think people should be allowed to post classes, subclasses, items/equipment, magical items, spells, monsters, mechanics and other stuff, people should be able to customize everything in the game via homebrew. I think people should be able to post custom campaigns but for a fee or for free, depending on the creators choice, the campaign should be able to link to a homebrew collection the creator made the campaign out from or recommend playing the campaign with.
2, How to find it/add it: I think that people should be able to post collections of multiple homebrew things that work really well together, kinda like a playlist of all their favorite homebrew or of homebrew that they made to work like a big homebrew pack, so people could add the whole collection or pieces of it to their own campaign or profile. I think that homebrew should be able to be added to a profile but also to a campaign, then everyone that is a part of that campaign can see what homebrew stuff is allowed and only have access to the homebrew added to the campaign when they create a character in the campaign.
3, Community: I think you should be able to follow creators and get notifications everytime they post some homebrew, a collection or a custom campaign. I think D&D Beyond should have a section called homebrew that has all the homebrew stuff in smaller categories, that makes it easier for a creator and a user to navigate around and communicate. There should be a clear comment section on collections, campaigns, and individual homebrew stuff. It should be clear to the user who created the homebrew collection, campaign or thing, the user should be able to go onto the profile of the creator to check out what other things, collections and campaigns they made, who they follow and how many follow them.
Another small thing should be that the authenticator system should be improved so it doesn't take forever for a thing to be verified.
