So I have a question for a homebrew subclass I'm working on for druid heavily focusing on their wild shape. My question is would it be balanced if starting at level two druids could wild shape into any beast who's CR matches their druid level? this would go from One all the way up to 20 but they cannot use any spells The thought being they put all their training all their effort into mastering wild shape they gain no stats only the actions reactions and bonus actions of the creature.
That would be very unbalanced. Consider that the effect you are describing is similar to polymorph, a 4th level spell, except that your effect is way cheaper and better in just about every way.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

I suppose that is true Even if I do take away the ability to use any spell are gain any stats/hit points it would still be too strong I suppose I also should have mentioned this would only go to large creatures I suppose I'll keep working on it
