I believe that many spells in 5e would be horribly broken if they were reversible as they were in 1e (yes, Inflict Wounds exists in 5e), but I am considering reversing spells for an NPC BBEG. Given only a few spells can be cast in a fight, that number will be small.
Mass Cure Wounds now is Mass Inflict Wounds for the the same HP as Mass Cure Wounds.
Dawn now Nightfall and causes Darkness and Necrotic Damage, same numbers.
I can do some interesting things with the reversal and slight modifications to Warding Bond. Whenever the NPC takes damage, one target also takes the same damage.
