for my groups I have been trying a faster intuitive method
8 + dex mod + Level bonus = intuitive score
if a player don't like where they find in the intuitive chain of events they can make a intuitive check by rolling 1d20 plus Dex modifier on thier turn to be used on their next intuitive roll ;
but they have to take what they rolled . if you get a 1 you fail intuitive and loose your turn to surprised,
if you get a 20 , you go first even if your score is less then other. the natural 20 give the player always first in this encounter.
