Hi everybody, frist post here. I Hope I'm not in the wrong subforum.
I'm running a campaign for 3 players, set in a homebrew island/acquatic world. lvl 2 to 20. Each of them will have a very powerful magical item that they will find during the campaign. One of the items has already been found. Since they are playing a cleric, a psyionic rogue and a druid I don't want to give them many magical items so I want to make these ones count.
The frist, already found by the cleric, gives him basically additional spell slots and some themed spells from the official spells list. Nothing so crazy but sometimes it will get an upgrade. Like additional +2 to healing points for each healing dice at the cost of an additional spell slot casting the healing spell. I need to find another upgrade for when they will get around lvl 15, thery're lvl 9 now.
The second, ment for the rogue, should be a last resource or a very planned move. Since every item is linked to a specific god and his theme, this one is a very high risk high reward. Was thinking about something like this:
-attunement
-increases the bearer's maximum HP by 1d10
-4 charges per day, when using a charge rolls 1d4. Your next attack does 1d4x5 more magic damage but you lose the same amount of HP.
-alternatively using 4 charges together for a minute the bearer's maximum hp becomes 1, he gets +2 to all attack rolls and every successful hit is a critical hit. HP cannot be restored while the effect is active, the bearer loses all of his temporary HP and cannot gain any more while the effect is active.
-when the effect wears off the bearer gains 1 level of exh
The third one is for the moon druid, the player really enjoy beast shape and I was thinking about giving hib an hybrid form or smthn. This one is really just an idea. Goes like this:
By consuming 2 charges of wild shape the bearer can enter a hybrid form of the chosen beast gaining half the beast's HP as temporary HP and the beast's physical stats. However, it maintains its size and can take advantage of any ability possessed by the beast (no multiattack). The armor class remains the same. He can cast spells in this form and concentrate normally. Ends when the bearer becomes unconscious or after (druid level/3) minutes.
Help and suggestions are welcome, also on how to upgrade these items once they get more powerfull.
