I'm trying to make this Shield...

This light weight wooden shield adds half your proficiency bonus to your AC. (This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC)

Nothing happens when I add the modifier "Half Proficiency Round Up - Shields". Do I need to do something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
