I fell in love with this class I found about a year ago: https://dnd-5e-homebrew.tumblr.com/post/135733906083/card-master-class-by-jonoman3000/amp . I've play tested it a handful of times. The randomness stretches you out pretty thin. I'd have spells for defense, offense, and situational but end up drawing the situation cards which when I ran into combat were useless. So it was like I was spent before I even started.
Honestly Looking, I like some of the ideas you implemented, but realistically what you did was change it from a warlock based card class to a sorcerer based card class, which there's already quite a few ideas from. I do agree that maybe the first one could use a couple of improvements, but I believe your version lost some of the individuality of the idea, which is what I was more hoping for. I like the subclass ideas, but the amplify cards is literally just sorcerous metamagic with slight edits.

I came up with a revision I think works quiet well. I finished it last night so I haven't gotten to test it yet but I'm fishing for opinions. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rL-EXZXgKhxrkcCedyE7J1X1LQyuMc2hGkCxN3Dzems/edit?usp=sharing
