Anyone know how I could make a Longbow ranged weapon except it does 2d6 damage in stead of 1d8 also STR based in stead of DEX (for hit mod and damage mod)?
I believe you can do this by creating a magic weapon based on a longbow, then using the "Replace Damage Type" modifier to do what you'd like.
This suggestion got me excited, but it only allows you to change the damage type even though it exposes Primary Stat and Dice Roll so it actually won't work for what I need. Thanks though.
Oh for sure. There's a lot of really simple weapons I'd love to make that require more than just making a custom attack. They really should allow us to do that. But for now that's the best fix.
So with the new Character Sheet Revamp, is there a way to do this? I've been playing with it but I'm still unsuccessful. The following from the post gave me hope for the Laminated Longbow.

The short descriptions on features, traits, and feats also include some simple code to auto-calculate a variety of numbers for ease of use. The syntax for this code is "{{inserthere}}" and can use math. The full list of available options are:
Just taking a look at this - You can use the customise options on the attack tab. I don't think I can see anything immediately in the item creation menus which can set it, but you could manually set it at each point using that option?

Hi there Kreakdude,
you can do this with the custom attacks on the new character sheet, yes! I just tried it out and this is how I configured it:
I hope that helps!

Yes that helped, thanks! Now if only I could make a custom weapon to give that attack when equipped.
