Alright i have some items i have picked up through our campaign, however i can't quite figure out what to do with them. I'd like to homebrew something with the dm but I'm in a brain fog, i have no ideas, i was wondering if anyone could help me spark some ideas. the items are all blood vials 20 oz each.
1 black dragon blood vial, 2 white dragon blood vials, 2 werewolf blood vials.
I am not sure what to do with them, do i make potions, infuse it into items somehow, drink them and hope it does something for me, im just not sure what my next move should be with these.
If you don't know what you want, then why do you feel the need to do something with them right now? Why not wait until you have a cool idea?
But anyway, typically I would make the dragon blood just be convertable into a Potion of Resistance for the relevant damage type based on the dragon.
Werewolf blood probably contains the Lycanthropic curse, so I don't know what you'd do with them other than turn them into some kind of poison, or use it to create a cure for lycanthrope.
To be honest. I'm not trying to do something with them right here and now, just looking for some ideas. You know just asking for help with creativity is all.
So the more ideas the better. I've done some digging around on old posts just trying to get new ideas.
So thank you for these. I didn't think about making a cure. That's neat!
If you want to get more creative maybe one of the following (I give no promises that any of this is balanced):
werewolf blood vial : can be fed to an ordinary dog to transform it into a Dire Wolf with weakness to damage from silvered weapons. This Dire Wolf retains the alignment and personality of the original dog except for when the full moon is in the sky at which point it becomes an aggressive feral beast that attacks everything that moves.
werewolf blood vial : soaking leather or fabric-based armour in this blood infuses the blood into the fabric. The armour gains resistance to one damage type based on a random roll: Roll 1d3, 1 = resistance to non-magical piercing, 2 = resistance to non-magical slashing, 3 = resistance to non=magical bludgeoning damage. If worn during the night of a full moon the wearer must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or they become aggressive and irritable until dawn (thus gaining no benefits of a long rest).
werewolf blood vial : if mixed with silver transforms into Alchemist's Fire.
dragon blood vial : can be drunk by a humanoid, the drinker must succeed on a DC 15 Constitutions saving throw, on a success the drinker gains 2 sorcerery points and the Empowered Spell metamagic until they finish their next long rest, on a failure the drinker takes 2d8 damage of the dragon's type.
dragon blood vial : If fed to a CR 1 or lower creature, that creature mutates during its next long rest into a pseudodragon of the same colour as the original dragon. The target's personality, memories, and alignment are unaffected.
dragon blood vial : If a non-magical weapon is soaked in the blood for 8 hours, it is infused with the dragon's magic and becomes a magic weapon that deals 1d4 extra damage of the same element as the original dragon.

Oooohhh. I like the giving to a creature or animal ideas, and soaking something in the blood for x amount of time. Thank you.
Also idk how game breaking those will be either but still fun to see if they are aloud at the table
