My character is supposed to be a pirate rogue who makes a pact with the spirit of the ocean and become a warlock through it to save himself from drowning at sea. Obviously, the literal ocean itself is not a patron listed in any DnD book, nor is there anything close to it in relation to a patron based around water elements. I beg for assistance

Have you looked at the "Fathomless" patron from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything? It's an ocean-horror themed subclass that sounds a lot like what you're looking for.
