Hello, I am working on a homebrew druid subclass and I'm trying to figure out what rules, if any, there are regarding the Circle Spells? Normally additional spell lists for subclasses are a bit more consistent across the board but with druids it seems to be a bit more random. Land gets 1 spell per spell level but they also get to swap out their list on a long rest, Moon gets just 1 spell list per spell level but that's the only spell list they have, Sea gets 2 spells per spell level for a reason I cannot discern, and then Stars does not get a spell list at all instead just getting 1 spell and 1 cantrip. In 2014 it seems like every druid subclass that got a spell list had 2 per spell level but they also did not get 1st level spells.
Basically I'm just trying to figure out if there's a specific logic behind why the subclasses basically all have different rules regarding their spell lists or if there are no rules.
I think it's dependent on how many thematic spells are missing from the base list. In Tasha's, the Wildfire druids get a lot because Druids at base don't get too many powerful fire spells.
