This is my first post on the forum so hopefully I'm not messing things up. If I am please let me know!
I've created a subclass for cleric specific to my campaign, where I use Channel Divinity to give kind of a Wildshape effect, limited to 6 homebrew creatures. I'm sure a lot could be said about my balancing choices, but however, this is not why I'm asking for help today :)
I was trying, when homebrewing my subclass, to add direct references to my homebrew creatures. To do so, in the corresponding features (lvls 6 and 8), I went to "Add a Creature Rule", then "Choose Monsters" and tried typing the name of my homebrew beauties. Sadly though, it seems like they do not show up in the list.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it simply not possible at all to add references to homebrew creatures like you would for... say, wildshapes or familiars?
Your homebrew creatures will still show up when your players search for them in the creatures section of the character sheet, so you can still list them in the creature's description and have it work normally (if not as conveniently).
I tried creating a character of my subclass, and it does work to add the creatures to the character sheet, which makes it super easy since there's only 6 of them to add in the first place. Thank you so much for that advice!

Hi there LyrWar,
it's not currently possible to create homebrew that has other homebrew as a dependency.
This may change in the future, but for now, it's not something supported, sorry about that!
