so me and some of my friends are going to be playing a campaign with the soul purpose of trolling each other.
I'm the DM and I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for troll items, I have already looked through thegamingninja55's homebrew items and have some implemented in the campaign. I just need some ideas for traps/homebrew that could make the campaign more chaotic.
Here's kind of a dumb one... take any magic item that requires attunement... let's go for something useful, like a Ring of Protection. Anyway, it's a normal version of that item, but any creature attuned to it cannot say any words that contain the letter "S". It's a fun, goofy thing that can be really hilarious as everyone listens in whenever that character speaks and they have to pick out their words carefully to avoid that letter. The basic concept is pretty open-ended... you could swap letter S with like... Proper Nouns, or maybe they can't speak in 1st person or something... whatever you think would be funniest to do to your friends. You could make multiple magic items like this.
The above, also changes of accent could be a good one to mess with the players.
The old illusion fight where there are exactly the same amount of enemies as there are players, and each one gets the same attack roll and damage as one of the players on its turn, before they realise they were fighting each other.
