I am trying to create a subclass that has multiple expanded spell list ( much like druid of the lands ) it is for warlocks, so the spells aren't given to them but they have access to the spells. Now I know under Basic Info you have the additional spells but not all the choices give the same spells. There is 3 spells per a choice that are different from the other choices.
So what I have done was put the common shared extended spells in the additional spells under basic Info and then created an option feature to allows them to pick, under the particular options will be the 3 additional spells they have access to. Now under the spells tab under the option I have gone in there to add the spells and the information snipet states the following
Add a spell or spell list that the class feature may grant access to.
so when I add the three spells under the spells and then change the Consumes spell slots to yes, and the Counts as Known spell to No I have played with both these making them yes and no regardless what I end up with is on the character sheet it gives them access to the spell Automatically instead of putting it on their spell list to be chosen.
I am looking to put it on their spell list to be a chosen spell rather than given it to them straight out.
You will want to add this not as a "Spells" feature, but instead on the base subclass.
In "Basic Information" there is a section called "Additional Specific Spells" which add spells to the spell list (AKA ones that can be chosen). Just type them in, and voila!
This section will allow the character to learn the spell if they choose -- when they reach a level where they could cast that spell.
From what you were trying to do in the "Spells" feature build is a slight misinterpretation-- "Counts as a Known Spell" is used to denote whether it uses up one of your "Spells Known", not whether it is added to the spell list or not.
right i get that, i understand what your saying but there are 6 choices Like with Druids of the Land, and each choice allows them access to 3 individual spells that the other choices did have, which is why I didn't want to put it in the general over all common spells granted
I see what you mean now. Apologies, I misunderstood.
The way land Druid is coded in DDB is for each choice to be treated as a separate subclass. To have multiple choices for different expanded lists you would need to make them each as separate subclasses as well.
