Is there a manual, guide, tutorial, or something, that shows how all the different options for homebrew items work, what they do, etc.? I was recently fiddling with an item, specifically trying to make a weapon that gave a bonus to attack, but not damage, and was boggled at the sheer amount of options for modifiers that could be picked, and moreover boggled by how most of them didn't seem to do anything when added to an item. I know how some of the options work, I've managed to mostly deduce how other work, but I have no clue as to what most of the modifiers mean. =/
I'm not sure how all of them work either. There are a couple of guides stickied to the top of this forum, but I haven't looked at them.
I do know you can't increase a season's damage without raising its hit bonus too, or vice versa. The homebrew modifiers are the same modifiers the site uses to code official content, and there aren't modifiers for options that dont exist officially.
the product team is very aware that the user interface for homebrew is far from ideal right now - this should be addressed in a homebrew revamp (possibly later this year). Once that revamp is done, proper documentation will be created and published.
The homebrew tools you see now are the same tools that were created for the content team to enter content internally - these were published because the community asked for the ability to homebrew.

Yah, I figured out I couldn't do the +1 to-hit w/o +1 dmg, but in the process got totally confused as to the rest of the options, hehe.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info!
I know that a few users were willing to create a wiki, but since there's a revamp on the roadmap it seems less pressing.
