This race is sure to instill fear into the hearts of your foes! this is a homebrew race for anyone who wants to add it into their adventure! Tarrasqueborns! this is my own interpretation of the tarrasque's origin. Long ago, in an age time forgot, the aboleths had received a crushing defeat and their empire collapsed. the gods let humanoids rule. however, the gods were not a fan of the sins humanoids and other intelligent life showed. as punishment for humanity's sins, the Tarrasque was created. forever a thorn in the side of civilization, for when it died, a new one came into existence all grown up from the start. once every so often, the Tarrasque would release a deluge of life energy. this life energy coming directly from the Tarrasque's soul created Tarrasqueborn.
they resemble smaller tarrasques that walk upright. their heads are identical to the true tarrasque, although much smaller in comparison to the rest of their body. they have long claws identical to the true tarrasque. they have long tails they drag across the ground. they live in isolated communities, and there are only a couple dozen tarrasqueborn communities in existence, due to how rare and out of the ordinary they are. they can be made in two ways. One, a deluge of life energy from the tarrasque can create them. Or two, they can be born when two tarrasqueborn mate. they hatch out of massive eggs the size of a car.
They get +1 to constitution and strength. They are HULKING and are size class medium borderline large. They automatically get proficiency in intimidation. There are no major gender differences except the obvious. they can use many melee unarmed strikes to get the job done. they can do a horn stab 2d4+2 piercing damage. they can do a bite attack 2d4+1 piercing damage. they can do a claw strike and do 2d4+2 slashing damage. they can stomp on a creature size class tiny or small for 4d4+4 bludgeoning damage. at 1st level, they get the ability to cause a tremor as a bonus action and knock everyone within 40 feet of them that fails a dc 14 dex save prone with a mighty stomp. They can telepathically communicate with the Tarrasque and sense its emotions. they can be any alignment, good evil and neutral tarrasqueborns are common, and they don't tend towards any particular alignment.
here are some quirks you can have. 1: I have a strange urge to knock down buildings. 2: people fear me and don't want to be around me. 3: I slobber and droll all over the place. 4: I enjoy causing destruction. 5: I get enraged easily. 6: I tend to go off the rails sometimes. So there you have it! The Tarrasqueborns! this is by far the longest post I have ever made. Please leave opinions below, but be respectful and constructive. Feel free to add them into your world or make a Tarrasqueborn character! Cheers!
For the love of all things fluffy please learn to use paragraphs and/or formatting!
The starting abilities are vastly overpowered to all other races (which refers to playable characters, if this is not playable then it is a Monster, not a Race).
Putting them as monstrosities and not humanoid is a lot more overpowered, for a PC, than you realise since it grants immunities to a large variety of spells and effects.
The DCs should be based on stats not a set DC (commonly reserved for magic items). Even the DCs you find in Monster Stat Blocks are very commonly based off a stat (8 + proficiency bonus + modifier of relevant ability).
Bonuses to natural attack damage is commonly based of an ability, like Str (melee) or Dex (ranged).

From the thread title, I thought you had figured out the secret meaning of my name, looks like I got that wrong. Yeah... That giant wall of text doesn't even make sense to me in its current form.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
" The Shadow Monarch is the ultimate expression of a "One Man Army" even in a team Setting his minions would act as meat shields for the allies while going on the Offensive, maybe in future version I will develop tactics and formations for the minions so the minions and party won't easily be decimated by random monsters or even the character's current enemies."
I'll read over it again in a bit, gotta sleep off an annoying migraine.

interesting race concept, they sound like ideal Fighters and Barbarians.

also, I made this race for a campaign where everyone started out at level 5.

Thanks for the reply! I fixed the wall of text thing. now it's a bunch of smaller sections.
I'll read over it again in a bit, gotta sleep off an annoying migraine.
