I was hoping that some of you might be able to help me sort out this homebrew idea that I had. It is an idea for a homebrew fey/beast race.
Twinned White Foxes
These foxes are fey/beast hybrids that powerful Warlocks of the Archfey can sometimes acquire as familiars.
White foxes are always born twinned, one male and one female, each one half of a single soul. They live in the Feywild as part of large family packs. In their natural habitat, no mortal can detect and track them, and even the Fey rarely catch glimpses of them.
Because they are so stealthy, they are often used by powerful Archfey as spies, to keep tabs on friends and enemies alike and sometimes, though rarely gift a pair of twinned fox familiars to their most potent and favoured Warlocks.
White foxes are exceptionally loyal to those they serve, with their loyalty to their masters coming only second to their commitment to their twin, their family and their pack and if need be, will fight to the death by their master's side. Despite this, on the material plane, white foxes are immortal and can not be killed. Killing a white fox on the material plane only dissipates its material form, and it will instantly reappear in Feywild. It can then be summoned again by ritual, or it will appear back at its maters side, on its own within 24 hours.
The only way to kill a white fox is to kill it in the Feywild, but even there its not easy to kill. To kill a white fox, both twins must die at the same time, and both must indeed be dead.
As long as there is a single spark of life left within the body of one twin, it can regenerate itself over time and survive, and as long as one twin survives, both shall live. In this way, white foxes are demi immoral, as long as one twin lives, both twins will exist and can regenerate themselves, even from destruction as long as one half of their soul survives. They are not, however, genuinely immortal as despite being very hard to kill, it is possible to kill them, and this one vulnerability is why they live in such close-knit families and why they have such large packs.
Once a pair of white fox familiars have been gifted to a Warlock by their Archfey Patron, they are bound to that bloodline and will never abandon it. It is not uncommon for white fox familiars to willingly serve the children and families of their masters after their masters have passed away, or to guard to the grave of, or the spot where their masters fell.
The only thing that could turn a white fox from its duty is if their twin or family or pack were genuinely in danger.
Lastly, white foxes can't vocalise any language, but they are telepathic and can communicate with each other and any other creature that understands at least one language, whatever that language might be. They can also interact with each other using a form of subtle body language that is almost impossible for any other creature to detect or understand.
So that's it, that was the thoughts that I had for this homebrew.
Would any of you be able or willing to help me clean this up and to turn my ideas into actual figures and stats and stuff?
Thanks
Foxes

Well, if it's meant to be a familiar, I think it would make sense to try and balance its stats to be closer to the increased Familiar options you get from Pact of the Chain, so I would start with one of those as a base. I would probably use the Quasit as a base for what the stat array should roughly fall into.
Although before I offer much of a suggestion I do wonder... since they're twin foxes, does that mean that when summoned both foxes appear and serve their master, or is it more that they appear one at a time while the other fox remains in the feywild? Simply having two psychic familiars active at once is pretty powerful, so if that's the case that would really be their main gimmick and you wouldn't need to give them many more abilities.

Hi, sorry for the late response.
I was thinking that both foxes would be summoned at once. You mention that this is pretty powerful, would that be too powerful a thing for familiars?
I had thought about this but then i had thought, if only one at a time is summoned, there is not much point to having them being "twinned", which was something that I had imagine them as being.
Maybe I could reduce one of their stats or something so the two together is kind of equal to just having one familiar.
Or is there another way that I could balance allowing both of them to be summoned?
Thanks

Honestly... two psychic foxes that are immune to death except for under specific conditions is very useful. They would only need stats slightly better than a normal fox... maybe give them a spell to use to help them with their stealthiness... maybe Minor Illusion? But the idea you've presented definitely strikes me less as a creature that actively participates in combat as opposed to utility allies that are great at stealth, information gathering, or communicating over long distances. I think the pair would work well as an additional Pact of the Chain option to give to Archfey Warlocks.
