I am homebrewing a spell that changes damage die at certain levels. e.g. the damage die change from d6 to d8 at level 6.
Is there any way I can make the description text change based on which damage die is valid?
Example: at Level 1 the description should read, "You deal 1d6 force damage"but at level 6 the description should read, "you deal 1d8 force damage"
Is there any way to accomplish this? I have changed the damage scaling through modifiers, but I want to reflect that clearly in the spell description.
Looking at Cantrip scaling for reference, the Fire Bolt spell shows us that they simply list the updated damage dice per level. I would format the spell's text the same way if I were changing the damage die too.
