Made a magic item that grants a feat. It added the feat to the Notes of the item, but when assigned to a character, the feat does not show up. When I hit 'manage feats' on the character sheet, the feat is not listed as given by anything so it just has 'Add' manually. The rest of the effects (like +1 bonus) show up just fine! Just no feat.
I can work around this by manually adding the feat, but if I can avoid having to do that, it'd be better (of course). I suspect this may be because granting feats is just already in the dropdown field for racial stuff and it's reused for items, but I'd like to think this functionality SHOULD work.
That is literally what I stated in the post - "When I hit 'manage feats' on the character sheet, the feat is not listed as given by anything so it just has 'Add' manually." I can do that, but was just looking to not have to micromanage it if it wasn't necessary. In the end, it seems I either need to A) add it manually and remove it manually when they don't have the item or B) make the item just provide the same bonuses as the feat vs having the feat. I opted for B. :D

I searched the forum and couldn't find anything about this particular issue (I may just suck at searching), but I did find this post on the D&D Beyond ZenDesk that is the same thing: https://dndbeyond.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360029898574-Homebrew-item-that-grants-feat-not-indicating-feat-for-player-

Thanks!
NM I should've looked in the Bugs and Support forum instead of Homebrew. Found it does not currently work.

Instead of deleting this, I'll leave this here in case someone else falls down the same rabbit hole I did :)
If you want to add a feat, as a DM, go to a player's character sheet, click on feats, and scroll to bottom, you will see a "Manage Feats" button
I also tried to create an item that gives feats
Darkest Dungeon-like DnD Insanity System
Let's put a meter to that foolish bravery, for both you and the NPCs.
(and help give the INT stat more uses)
