I'm trying to make a new background and it says something about a background-specific table but I've got no idea what it is. Any way someone can explain?
The easiest way to explain is with an example. Criminal / Spy in the basic rules. It has a background specific table titled Criminal Speciality that a player can roll on (or choose from or make up their own) to aid in fleshing out their character.
