Dream Domain
The domain of Dreams, the realm of stories and everything that isn't in reality. This is the domain of limitless, if not uncontrollable possibilities. Gods such as Celestian, Morpheus, Nut, or Selûne rule over the land all have visited but few understand. But this is not only a domain of rest and respite, for it is also a domain of unrestrained thought and imagination. For some, this can be wondrous, enlightening, and freeing. For others, it is horrific, terrifying, and cruel. It is the will of the gods what one experiences in their most vulnerable hours of life.
Domain Spells
You gain domain spells at the cleric levels listed in the Dream Domain Spells table. See the Divine Domain class feature for how domain spells work.
Starting at 1st level, you gain the power to bring the imaginary to new life through the power of subconscious thought. You learn the minor illusion cantrip, which counts as a cleric cantrip for you and does not count towards the number of known cantrips.
Dreamwalker
Starting at 1st level, you gain a limited ability to traverse the worlds of dream. While a creature is sleeping within 30ft of you, you can enter a semi conscious state and travel into they dreams. While in their dream, you can communicate with the creature without requiring to share a language, as both of you can understand the other so long as you wish to be. You have no control over the dream, an potentially can take damage from it if the creature becomes or was hostile towards you. All damage taken in a dream is psychic damage.
Channel Divinity: Deep Slumber
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your channel divinity to lull others into a deep sleep.
As an action, you present your holy symbol, and creatures you choose within 30ft of you must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, creatures fall unconscious for 1 hour, until the sleeper takes damage, or until someone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake.
Channel Divinity: Dream Sculptor
Starting at 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to turn dreams and nightmares into reality.
As a bonus action, you can choose one illusion you create from a spell you cast. As long as you maintain concentration, the illusion becomes real for the duration of of the spell. If the spell would allow you to change the nature of the illusion, the illusion you are making real shifts and changes as you desire.
Illusions that change the world around you change the world to accommodate such changes. Once concentration is broken however, the world returns to how it was before (Example: If you make the illusion of a long hallway, make it real, enter the hallway, and lose concentration, you and any creatures in the hallway will be shunted out to the nearest unoccupied space, taking any appropriate damage.)
If you create a creature, the creature becomes real and takes turns immediately after you. It is friendly to you and your allies until one of your allies deals any damage to it, and otherwise uses the stat block most appropriate for that creature.
Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Mind of Dream
Starting at 17th level, your consciousness resides in a place between the world of dream and the waking world. You gain the following abilities:
While you are unconscious but not dying, You are aware of everything that happens within 60ft of you. If you still have hit points remaining, you can willingly wake up as an action.
You gain telepathy out to a range of 60ft and can communicate this way even while unconscious. You can communicate with sleeping creatures, appearing in their dreams. They can respond to you telepathically, but otherwise you gain no insight into their dreams.
While you are unconscious but not dying, you can cast spells without requiring verbal or somatic components.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hey y'all, I'm Okashido and I'm super into D&D. I like making characters(to the point where I have a doc about 100 pages long filled with character ideas.), am an aspiring actor in college, and also consider myself a storyteller and actor at the table. I enjoy making characters with backstories and watching them play off of other people. I roll with the punches and am a great Improviser. I can DM, but think my strengths lay in being a Player most. Hope we can all have fun and maybe play some games.
Hey, very inspiring. I have made my own version of dream Domain before I found this post. I personally find the Dreamwalker ability at level 1 to be a little overpowered and put it as a channel divinity instead.

One of my players is actually using this homebrew in our campaign. Thank you very much.
It's actually very cool! The campaign I am running has been about creatures that come out of dreams, and that's been a really useful subclass to have.
