Hello, all! I'm planning on running a "mythic ancient Greece" style of game (probably not Theros) and I'd like to house rule away heavy armor for aesthetic reasons. If I do, I'll obviously need to compensate heavy armor wearing classes somehow. My question is, how?
My first two thoughts were that characters proficient in heavy armor who wear medium armor would a) substitute their Con mod for their Dex mod, or b) just calculate their AC as if their Dex mod was +2. That ought to put most heavy armor wearers' ACs within a point of where they would be if they were wearing heavy armor. Is that enough?

Any feedback or suggestions? Thanks!
Half plate, with the +2 is still not as good as full plate.
Maybealso let them add proficiency bonus to AC.
Or just let them wear the heavy armor and re-skin it. Then you don't have to worry about the house rule nerfing them too much.
