Trying to create a subclass feature that grants a spell (or spells) that can be cast as ritual only... ala Path of the Totem Warrior's Spirit Seeker feature.
I know I can create standalone feats that grant ritual only spells, but when I try to add those feats to the subclass feature via the modifier route, the feats are not displayed in the dropdown menu.
I also tried just adding a spell to the feature... chose the spell, checked the box for ritual only spells so I could get the "must cast as ritual" option (basically the same way I added the spell to the standalone feat)... however, it always shows on the character sheet as cast at will.
I'm not sure that "Must Cast as Ritual" is properly enforced in the character sheet; whether this is a bug or an omission is hard to say, as a lot of the features of Homebrew were designed to implement specific features of official content, and are not necessarily designed with other uses in mind, so they're not always fully implemented as you might expect them to be.
What you've done (enabled "Only ritual spells" and then set "Must Cast as Ritual") is exactly how the Spirit Seeker trait is implemented, the only difference is that the Spirit Seeker also has an additional description of "As Ritual Only" but that's just an informal note. This probably works fine in the Spirit Seeker's case since it's not actually a spellcaster otherwise, but for characters that can cast spells normally it seems the feature just doesn't work properly.
You could report it to dndbeyond.zendesk.com as a bug, but you'll just get the same response that all homebrew bugs currently get which is that it might be addressed as part of the homebrew overhaul, for which we currently have no estimated released date.
Short version is that you've probably done all you can, and it'll be up to the player to use your feature properly.

Thank you for the reply.
It's somewhat frustraging... because as I said, if I create a standalone feat to grant a ritual only spell, it displays properly on the character sheet that it can only be cast as a ritual... it just doesn't work if I build it into a class feature.
I imagine I'll just do it how they do, add the additional description to the feature, and call it a day.

What am I missing/doing wrong?
