Is there aby way to create a free text input area in a racial feat where the player (not creator) can type their own info? I'm trying to bring back the Changeling "Divergent Persona" concept, but with the ability to add more personas at higher levels, and thought it would be awesome if you could actually name (label) each of your personas (as well as choose the skill they are proficient in.)
Unfortunately not; the player can enter whatever they like in the Notes section though.
Since my current main character is a Bard who doesn't have much to enter in the Extras section, I use that to track my false identities (from the Charlatan background); I just pop them in as a Commoner under Misc, rename them and then and put details into the notes section. The UI's a bit awkward for this since Notes is a single line field rather than a proper text box, but it's a handy way to do separate entries, and it's a good place to put them for me since it's a section I don't otherwise use except for the horses on the party's wagon (which I'm in charge of apparently, which might have something to do with why it's now painted bright purple 😄)
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
