This is my first time homebrewing so I would like some advise and feedback on how to improve! My first project was a race called the "Ascended Human" basically a person on the path toward Godhood with level 20 being where they achieve the full potential of the race. Keep in mind this is the first time I have homebrewed anything so don't be too harsh on your judgment! Adds and points would be appreciated but please at least review it and give your 2 cents.
It's quite good for a first homebrew, especially in the wording department, but I do have two thoughts. First, this race gets everything a normal human does plus REALLY good extras, which makes it far more powerful than other races. Second, what does this "and you can imbue one attack per turn with radiant damage or force damage on top of the normal damage type" mean? attacks in D&D can't do, say, piercing and fire damage unless the fire damage comes with extra damage dice, like a Flame Tongue. Is the intent that this feature adds extra damage, or changes the damage type to force or radiant?
