The system is weirdly inconsistent about what updates and when; if you change the description of an option for example, and select it in the character builder, then while the new description appears to update immediately, any the snippet associated with an option can take up to twenty minutes to refresh.
For basic features (i.e- not an option within a feature), sometimes just lowering the character's level so the feature no longer applies, then reloading the character builder and levelling up again can force a change through sooner.
But otherwise you probably have to wait and try later; it's usually closer to 10 minutes, but can be up to 20.
Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.
I have unsubscribed from all topics and will not reply to messages. My homebrew is now 100% unsupported.
