I'm interested in receiving feedback on a few juicy Goliath racial feats.
Cold Heart
Prerequisite: Goliath
Your heart is infused with the cold regard of the frigid realm Goliaths call home. You gain the following benefits:
Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
You have resistance to cold damage.
You gain proficiency in Survival. If you are already proficient, you gain expertise in Survival.
Competitive Advantage
Prerequisite: Goliath, Requires a Strength score of 15 or higher
Your dedication to surpassing your past accomplishments has made your athletic build even stronger. You gain the following benefits:
Increase your Strength score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
You gain expertise in Athletics.
Your speed increases by 5 feet.
Dawncaller
Prerequisite: Goliath
You learn the way of the Dawncaller—the goliath responsible for watching over their kin throughout the night and awakening them at dawn. You gain the following benefits:
Darkvision. Accustomed to the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
You can belt a fierce battle cry, using your reaction to alert and inspire your companions, shoring up their resolve to fight. When you do so, choose up to six friendly creatures (which can include yourself) within 50 feet of you who can see or hear you. Each creature can gain temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier. A creature can't gain temporary hit points from this feat again until it has finished a long rest.
Love the feats, big thing is that Goliaths already have Cold Resistance, so that first feat may need tweaking.
When this post was thread was originally made goliaths didn't have cold resistance at the time. That was a recent addition when the Icewind dale adventure came out.
